Work + Collaborations
At the heart of my work is a strong desire to cultivate community through poetic practices, to play and experiment with new modes of delivering art to the public, and to make poetry fun and accessible.

The Poetry Society of New York is a non-profit dedicated to promoting poetry within our culture. The society accomplishes its mission by creating engaging, one-of-a-kind experiences of poetry; by building meaningful partnerships in the worlds of art, literature, & business; & by fostering healthy & progressive poetry communities in cities across the globe. A few of our many projects include The New York City Poetry Festival, The Poetry Brothel, The Typewriter Project, Micro-Residencies, Typewriter Poets, and so on.

Launched in 2018 with Stephanie Berger, Milk Press merges the poetry and visual art worlds by cultivating and presenting exclusively collaborative works. We publish poems and visual art online. Our projects are fluid, nourishing, embodied; spilt and split-open.

Outside of the literary non-profit sphere, my true bread and butter is teaching. I’ve taught poetry, creative writing and composition at institutions like Brooklyn College, Poets House, the FLAG Art Foundation, Haricot Vert & elsewhere. I also designed and launched the virtual educational programming for The Poetry Society of New York.
I currently teach the Integrative Writing Seminar at The New School.

One of my favorite pastimes, funny enough, is writing custom, on-the-spot poems for strangers on my vintage typewriter. Previous clients I’ve worked for include The Met Opera, The Plaza Hotel, Bloomberg, Louis Vuitton & many more.
